Men's Group - G.E.M.S.

_COMING FEBRUARY 2012!

The aim of GEMS is to provide an opportunity to meet other men in an informal and friendly atmosphere for forming friendships and providing mutual support.

All men are welcome to attend but an informal one to one meet first with one of our volunteers is an option, if you feel slightly nervous about attending.
 


Women's Group - Ms. Grace!

First Friday of the month 8PM - 10:30PM

Community social for women who dig women. Dress how you want, be who you want and meet who you want. Girly gossiping and intellectual stimulation all under one roof.  Free entry and refreshments available.

Free and open to all women.

Drop - In Service

Open to all members of the LGBT community, friends & family welcome. Hot and cold drinks available.

Free Health Checks

_Everyone is at risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes or kidney disease. The good news is that these conditions can often be prevented – even if you have a history of them in your family. Have your free NHS Health Check and you will be better prepared for the future and be able to take steps to maintain or improve your health.

If you're aged between 40 - 74 and haven't been diagnosed with any of the mentioned problems you qualify for a free health check. Email us to book your place.


Library

Available to all members!

We have a library full of LGBT literature and archives. We also provide LGBT themed DVD's. The library service is free to all members.


Speak to one of our volunteers about borrowing items from the library.

Sexual Health Advice

In partnership with the Essex Health Frisky or Risky team on site to provide info or advice on all Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI's) and HIV and AIDS.

Legal Advice

In partnership with Birkett Long Solicitors we provide a legal advice pop in service. Free of charge just to get some more information about different legal areas, whether it's will writing, inheritance, civil partnership dissolution or children's applications.

Hate Crime & Homophobia Advice

We work in partnership with Essex Police to make sure if you are experiencing hate crime or homophobia/transphobia you are able to report it and it will be dealt with appropriately. Essex Police offer a pop in advice service at The Outhouse if you want to speak to someone in confidence about any difficulty you may be having.
